Kakavia – Fish Soup

1.5 kg of big fish in slices (different kinds of fish such as: grouper, golden grouper, dentex, white grouper etc.)

2 sliced onions

5-6 sliced potatoes

Half a cup of olive oil

Salt and Pepper

Juice of 2 lemons

 

Sauté the onions in the olive oil in a large saucepan, add the potatoes and cover with water. Boil for 5 minutes and then add the fish, salt and pepper and boil for 20-25 minutes until cooked. Turn off the heat and add the lemon juice to the saucepan.
