    Due to its south geographical position, the influence of the sea, its terrain, its big amount of sunshine and its edaphic conditions, Crete is ideal and globally recognized for olive cultivation.

    Olive oil of the most fine quality, produced solely with mechanical processes, i.e. without any chemical process, with a maximum acidity of 0.5 % in oleic acid per 100 gr. To be our first choice for all purposes, because it keeps its nutritional value complete and unchanged.

    The temperature during the production of olive oil at the olive oil mill does not exceed 27o C.
    The temperature of the olive pulp does not exceed 27o C and hence the oil does not lose its nutrients.

    It is one of the best olive oil varieties in the world. Koroneiki has a great advantage; olives stay on the tree and are difficult to detach and, hence, during the olive-gathering procedure, olives are not picked from the ground.

It has very high standards and, due to the low rubbing temperature, it keeps its vitamins unaltered

Nutritional value:
The high nutritional value of this product is known to the Cretan nutrition for more than 4000 years and continues to be the baseline of everyday nutrition

 

Taste:
Medium to strong fruity taste and long aftertaste. Medium to strong bitter and spicy flavor.
Usually, the spiciness prevails over the bitterness, whereas the scent and taste properties of the green leaves are the ones giving it intense freshness.

Color:
It is deep green when the olives are picked at the beginning of the harvesting season, when chlorophyll is dominant, whereas when the olives are picked after they have matured, the carotenes are dominant and the color is golden.

Use:
Suitable for all purposes, it is excellent raw (for salads), as well as near the end of cooking, in order to keep its aroma.

Packaging:


The extra virgin olive oils PDO PEZA, PDO VIANNOS, PDO SITIA, PDO KOLYMVARI are olive oils, whose harvesting and production takes place within designated geographical areas, with recognized know-how. The oil-production process takes place in olive-oil mills that are located within these specific areas and are equipped with the necessary special approval by Agrocert.

2. P.D.O PEZA CRETAN MYRON

The extra virgin olive oil PDO Peza has the organoleptic characteristics of a mature olive with a sweet-like taste and a deep green color.
It is exclusively produced in the fertile province of PEZA.

3. P.D.O VIANNOS CRETAN MYRON



The extra virgin olive oil PDO VIANNOS is thin, with a green-yellow color and fruity taste with a particular aroma. It is exclusively produced in the fructuous province of Viannos.

4. P.D.O SITIA CRETAN MYRON



The extra virgin olive oil PDO Sitia has a green-yellow color, is relatively thick and has the organoleptic characteristics of a mature olive and a fruity taste, for which the area of Sitia is known.
It is exclusively produced in the fertile province of Sitia

5. P.D.O KOLYMVARI CRETAN MYRON



The extra virgin olive oil PDO Kolymvari of Chania has medium thinness, is green-yellow with the organoleptic characteristics of a mature olive and a fruity composition with a slightly bitter taste. Over time such bitterness deteriorates, until it is fully gone. It is exclusively produced in the fertile province of Kolymvari. .

6. Biological Extra Virgin Olive Oil BIO CRETAN MYRON

The Biological Extra Virgin Olive Oil Bio Cretan Myron is produced according to the very strict rules on organic Farming, which strictly comply with the EU regulation (2092/91). The use of chemical fertilizers and toxic pesticides is prohibited. Only biological fertilizers are allowed for trees and dacus is confronted solely by means of traps. Our Biological olive cultivation offers olive oil of a safer quality, the ΒΙΟ CRETAN MYRON. The Bio Cretan Myron is the result of the collaboration of our company with organic farmers in the most fertile areas of Crete. The Βio Cretan Myron is a product of a higher quality, which is directly produced from the extrusion of olives exclusively from the “Koroneiki variety”, the queen of the Greek varieties and only through mechanical methods. Usually, the harvesting takes place from November until the end of February. It is always stored in stainless tanks, where a natural filtering process takes place, removing foreign materials and humidity.

The average acidity of the ΒΙΟ CRETAN MYRON varies between 0.3 % to 0.4 % max.

Taste: It is characterized as mild, with a medium fruity and spicy taste and a deep green color.

Use: It impeccably pairs sea-food, white meats, boiled vegetables and raw salads, by enriching taste and aroma.
